Celebrating 25 Years of Hope Relay for Life June 19-20

According to statistics, one in three people will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime. The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life is an event that brings communities together each year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much. On June 19, the Meade County Fairgrounds will host the annual Relay for Life, a celebration of hope and remembrance.

Local Lady Wave makes All-State team

Erin Sireno, shown here at the regional finals, was selected for the Kentucky Junior All-Star team. She was also named to the All-Region team for her performance in the Regional tournament.

Ryan Ross and Belinda French – reaching for the stars

Music has always been a big part of Ryan Ross’ life. He was born Feb. 20, 1983, in Bewleyville, the only child of Carlie and the lateConnie Ross. Carlie is retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Rough River. Presently, he is an interim speaker at Rosetta United Methodist Church in Breckinridge County.
