Meade County celebrates the Fourth of July

Residents of Meade County celebrated the Fourth of July in various ways. Shelby Smith, 4, Brandenburg, helped her grandpa Steve Dowell, Rhodelia, make homemade ice cream during a cookout with family and friends at the Dowell’s home. Later that evening, Shelby and her brother Bryan, 7, were fascinated with a firework called “The Flasher.”
