‘Burn, baby, burn . . . ’

Firefighters from the Meade County Fire Protection District, Muldraugh, Battletown and Radcliff fought a fire July 30 – for practice. The exercise attracted about 40-45 firefighters who fought the flames in three distinct areas.

Another state champ!
Meade County 15-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars take state title

The year 2009 seems to be a banner year for Meade County baseball. Last week the 8-year-old All-Star team won the state championship and this week the 15-year-old All-Star team won the state championship in Bowling Green.

“I don’t think a Babe Ruth team from Meade County has ever won a state championship before,” said Coach Ben Wilson.

Magistrates continue work on proposed nuisance ordinance

Meade County could have a nuisance ordinance in the near future. The question is – which one?

During a work session July 27, magistrates continued review of a proposed nuisance ordinance, based on other examples.

Adding to the mix was the presentation of the International Property Maintenance Code, recently adopted by the City of Muldraugh.
