Feb. 9
for Meade Activity Center fundraiser

The Meade Activity Center (MAC) starts the new year with outstanding food and a $20 million PGA winner. PGA and Masters finalist, Kenny Perry, is coming to the Meade County Farm Bureau building Feb. 9, to support MAC’s first annual fundraiser. Local citizens, former Meade Countians, and local businesses will have the opportunity to enjoy a culinary feast and meet one of Kentucky’s most famous athletes.

County’s real estate market stable, if not improving, say area experts

While 2009 brought the housing bubble’s burst nationally, Meade County and adjoining areas fared well in comparison according to a consensus of local real estate experts.

Statistics seem to bear out the fact that houses in the area have kept much of their value; foreclosures are not significantly up; and new construction and existing home sales continue to chug along.
