A preview of a coming
attraction . . .

In about four or five weeks, a new tanker truck will be in Brandenburg, replacing the one totaled last year in an accident. Employees from Rosenbauer America of Lyons, S.D., are manufacturing the vehicle for the Meade County Fire Protection District. On Feb. 15, MCFPD board members authorized two firefighters – one of them being Chief Larry Naser – to make a pre-inspection before the truck is finished. Chairman Martin Bosemer will work with Naser to select the other firefighter, who will have some mechanical aptitude, and ensure travel costs are reasonable. Naser said a public “welcome home” ceremony could be held in May. Above, the new truck at the plant and left, the truck’s interior.
