WILLIAM “BILL” DOWDEN
A birthday party for William “Bill” Dowden – who turned 91 on June 20 – was held at his residence in Sula, Mont. His daughters, Bobbie and Bev, and his granddaughter, Dottie, hosted the party at the East Fork Road home. Approximately 15 friends celebrated with Bill as old family, wartime, and hunting pictures and stories were shared at the party. Bill and his brother, George, ran the Dowden’s Dairy for several years here in Meade County. The 1974 tornado destruction forced the dairy to close. Here’s hoping that Bill will be celebrating many more birthdays!

MR. and MRS. WILLIAM JACKSON
Bill and Judy Jackson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 7, 2010, from 2-4 p.m. at Buck Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall in Ekron. The Jacksons have four children, Jennene (Jed) Painter, Cheri (Tony) Sander, Vanessa Jardell and Jody (Beth) Jackson. They have six grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Painter, Danielle and Derek Sander, Michael Jardell and Evan Jackson. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
