Killed by communists 60 years ago, he’ll finally be laid to rest today

Eighteen-year-old Harry Reeve was captured by Communist Chinese soldiers during one of the Korean War’s deadliest battles. Handed over to North Koreans, he was taken with other prisoners to a field and executed in cold blood. His journey home has been a long one, that ends today.

Water district amends cut-off policy for delinquent bills

Three requests for waterlines come before water district

A packed house of residents seeking waterlines greeted members of the Meade County Water District at their July 27 meeting. The Knob Road area, represented by resident, Jeff Adkisson, sought water to their area as soon as possible, but water district general manager, Joe Bartley, explained that might not be the case.
