Five Brandenburg men indicted for burglaries

A Meade County grand jury has returned indictments against five men for a rash of burglaries believed to have happened between January and May this year.

Weather, drought
conditions lead to county burn ban


Meade County remains under a burn ban despite a few recent showers. The ban was issued Sept. 7 with an executive order by Judge Executive Harry Craycroft.

It's finally finished

The exterior of the recently refurbished Kroger store at River Ridge Plaza is decked out for Halloween. The store is celebrating week two of the grand reopening with special sales and other events throughout the week.

Applications being taken for Angel Tree

The Meade County Clothes Closet will take applications for the Angel Tree, starting Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Applications will be taken between the hours of 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
