The Meade County Sheriff’s Department is investigating vandals that spray painted graffiti on several locations in Ekron and Guston earlier this month.

Two separate motorcycle accidents have recently claimed lives on Meade County highways.
No Social Security COLA increase predicted for 2011
Monthly Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for more than 58 million Americans will not automatically increase in 2011, the Social Security Administration announced Oct. 15.

Applications being taken for Angel Tree
The Meade County Clothes Closet will take applications for the Angel Tree, starting Oct. 1 through Oct. 31. Applications will be taken between the hours of 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weekdays and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
