Want fruit? Meade FFA fruit sale ongoing now

The Meade County FFA chapter has started their largest fundraiser of the year, which are their fruit sales. If you have never purchased fruit before, there are many different varieties and types of packages to choose from. Very popular items are the gift boxes; some are smaller in size while others may be larger. The most popular item is the mixed fruit box; items in this box are: red and golden delicious apples, pears, navel oranges, tangelos and grapefruits. Other items sold are apples, grapefruits, pears, oranges and pineapples. There will not just be fruit sold, either. Some other items include peanuts, a variety bag of nuts and country hams. Those interested in placing an order are asked to contact the Meade County High School agriculture department at (270) 422-2590, visit www.meadeffa.org, visit the chapter Facebook page, or see an FFA member. Orders will be taken until Nov. 30 and delivery will occur in early December.
