Chilly Christmas by the River throngs welcome Santa Amidst the loud sirens and bright lights of the Meade County Fire Protection District and the Brandenburg City Police, Santa and Mrs. Claus and their elf were welcomed in royal style Nov. 27 during the annual Christmas by the River festivities. Santa and his companions were brought to the gazebo in a small toy train, which was one of several new items welcoming the throngs of people throughout the day.
