News from Ancestral Trails Historical Society

Ann Sipes was the guest speaker at the last Ancestral Trails Historical Society meeting in October. She spoke about several people in the Salem, Mass., area who were put to death because they were judged to be witches in 1692. Many of these people were tortured to confess that they were witches and some were falsely accused. Women as well as men were included in the witch hunt. There was even a minister included in the accused.

Jewish Music through the Ages to be performed at ECTC
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College will present a program of Jewish Music through the Ages by Cantor David Lipp Monday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. in the Morrison Gallery in the ECTC administration building.
