Official misconduct charge results in resignation of county employee

Issues over a county attorney employee, which originally came to light earlier, still were being addressed last week.

County attorney employee Kathy Wyatt resigned her position at 4:30 p.m., Dec. 7, two days before pleading guilty to a charge of first-degree official misconduct.

Legislative plate is brimming area lawmakers tell Chamber

Breakfast wasn’t the only thing on the minds of members of the Meade County Area Chamber of Commerce Dec. 12. Politics was as well.

State Sen. Carroll Gibson, R-Leitchfield and state Rep. Jeff Greer, D-Brandenburg, both told Chamber members they would do what they could for Meade County, with Gibson adding at times he feels his district – including Meade County – is left out.
