‘Caged Animals’
Brandenburg cage uprising a success

Several hundred Meade Countians and other surrounding county spectators filled the Farm Bureau Building Nov. 1 as Xplosive Cage Combat presented “Brandenburg Cage Uprising” to Meade County for the second time.

With 11 fights on the card, those in attendance were eager to not only see the fights but the local fighters involved.

“I can’t wait to see some of these fights,” an attendee said. “I’m ready to see some good brawls.”

Meade falls to Conner, 49-13

On Oct. 31, the Meade County Greenwave football team traveled to Hebron to take on Conner High School. Looking to get over a .500 winning percentage for the first time all season, the Greenwave attack looked poised after a thrilling homecoming win over North Hardin.

After a Meade County punt on the next possession, West went back to work, shredding the Meade County defense and getting back into the end zone. West threw another touchdown pass, this time to Scooter Engleman, on a screen pass that Engleman took 29 yards to pay dirt.
