Snow hasn’t impacted school calendar a lot

Snow is fun to play in and miserable to drive through, but every day Meade County Public Schools have been closed this year need to be made up.

On the bright side, district officials reported last week – barring any more days off – the last day for students will be May 28.

Glad Tidings pastor arrested for sexual abuse

Marion Barnes, a pastor at Glad Tidings Christian Center, was charged Feb. 15 with five counts of sexual abuse of a minor. The charges were filed with Kentucky State Police by 18-year-old Alexandria Owens, who is described as a niece who lived in Barnes’ Ekron home.
