Meade County Messenger and Meade County Youth Baseball

Members of the Meade County Little League are teaming up with the county’s largest newspaper – the Meade County Messenger – in a project destined to benefit both. Little League members are knocking on doors now asking for subscriptions to the Messenger, according to director of sales and marketing, Jim Mansfield. Special prizes are also being offered to the top sellers, Mansfield said. The solicitation started March 1 and ends April 30. Two Meade County teens arrested for shooting incident

Two Meade County teenagers were charged with felony assault after allegedly shooting an Elizabethtown teen around 10 p.m. on March 21.

Details of abuse allegations against pastor emerge

Police evidence includes audio
recordings between Barnes, victim

Details are emerging from the police investigation into former Glad Tidings Church Pastor Marion Barnes.

Barnes was originally arrested Feb. 15, on five counts of sexual abuse against a minor – two counts in the 3rd degree and three counts in the 1st degree.
