Greenwaves Finish Regular Season

The Greenwaves soccer team finished up their regular season play in a home game against the Collins Titans on October 2. Prior to kick off, senior Robbie Butler was able to rejoin the team after suffering a significant injury earlier in the season. The team took the time to recognize and honor the senior, along with his family, since he was unable to make it on senior night.
Once the game got underway it turned into a defensive battle as both teams killed any attacks around midfield, where they would fight for possession of the ball. It was the Titans that began to move the ball well. They were able to find open players pushing the ball forward into the strike zone where they were able to get shots off on Greenwaves’ ‘keeper Brandon Beasley. The Titans finally scored the game’s first goal just over ten minutes into the game, giving them the early advantage.
