More Than A Statistic

Recently, I was very blessed to bring into the world two healthy baby girls. For such a high risk pregnancy, it seemed to progress without a hitch up until their birth. However, this is not the case for every woman. There are women who, unfortunately, cannot have children. This can be caused by all manner of reasons. One woman, Lindsey Thompson, had one such pregnancy. A few years ago, she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This is a disease for which there is no cure and can make a woman infertile. Against all odds, Lindsey and her husband where able to conceive a little girl. To them, this was just a start.
