Staying hydrated in the hot summers heat

It’s summer, it’s 95 degrees outside, and all your kids want to do is go to the lake, or go to the park, or play outside! With all this fun comes the worry of dehydration. A lot of the time people don’t think twice about hydration, and when they do, they think well I don’t like water, and cokes have water in them, so I’m good. Well, not so much. The chances are that most of the popular choices of a cold beverage, like coke, are loaded with sweet calories that actually increase the bodies need for water. But don’t get discouraged, there are ways to stay hydrated without having to just drink water.
