Introducing the Galaxy S25 Edge: Samsung’s Ultra-Thin Marvel
Samsung has once again made headlines with the release of its Galaxy S25 Edge, a device that marries sleek design with robust technology. Despite its slim profile, this smartphone packs a powerful punch, rivaling the performance of its more traditional counterparts.

A Closer Look at the Galaxy S25 Edge
Previously unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in March, the Galaxy S25 Edge had been a subject of much speculation until its recent launch. Samsung managed to keep the finer details under wraps until now, revealing a device that’s not only cutting-edge in terms of technology but also striking in its physical attributes.
The Galaxy S25 Edge stands out primarily for its thickness—or rather, its thinness. At just 5.84 millimeters, it challenges the norms of smartphone dimensions while sporting a large 6.7-inch display. This makes it thinner than the standard Galaxy S25, which has a 6-inch screen and is 7.2 millimeters thick. Despite its larger size, the Edge is surprisingly light, weighing in at just 163 grams—almost identical to its sibling model.
Performance and Photography: No Compromises Here
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy S25 Edge with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, customized specifically for their devices. This chip, coupled with 12 gigabytes of RAM, ensures that the phone operates smoothly under various conditions. The Edge also features an advanced cooling system, albeit slightly smaller due to space constraints in the thin frame. This modification slightly limits the duration of peak performance, though it is unlikely to affect everyday usage.
On the camera front, while the Edge does not house three cameras like some of its bulkier relatives, it boasts the main camera from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This camera has an impressive 200-megapixel resolution and is optically stabilized, somewhat compensating for the absence of a telephoto lens with high-quality digital zoom capabilities. Additionally, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a similarly specced selfie camera complement the setup, ensuring wide-ranging photography options.
Durability Meets Design
Despite its delicate appearance, the Galaxy S25 Edge is built to endure. It features a titanium frame and is protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and Victus 2 on the front and back, respectively. Moreover, it meets IP68 standards for dust and water resistance, underscoring its robustness.
Battery Life and Charging
The Galaxy S25 Edge is equipped with a 3900 milliampere-hour battery, slightly less than the Galaxy S25’s 4000 milliampere-hour capacity. Despite this, Samsung promises up to six hours of screen time. The real-world longevity of the battery remains to be seen. Charging options include up to 15 watts for wireless charging and up to 25 watts when using a cable.
Pricing and Market Competition
The Edge isn’t just premium in features but also in price. The 256-gigabyte model is priced at approximately 1250 Euros, a notch above the Galaxy S25+. For those seeking more storage, there’s a 512-gigabyte version available for around 1370 Euros. Early birds who order by May 29 can secure the larger storage model at the price of the smaller one.
As Samsung gears up to enjoy the success of its latest innovation, Apple is also poised to enter the ultra-thin market. Rumors suggest that an iPhone dubbed "Air" could be unveiled as soon as September, sparking a fascinating showdown in the realm of sleek, powerful smartphones.
