In the bustling atmosphere of Mexico City during the premiere of the movie “F1” on June 9, Brad Pitt, a household name in Hollywood, shared some interesting tidbits with E! News about his personal and professional life, including a nostalgic nod to his past and potential future collaborations with Tom Cruise.

### Brad Pitt on Racing and Reuniting with Tom Cruise

Pitt reminisced about the good old days in the ’90s when he and Tom Cruise shared some exciting go-cart racing moments. Despite acknowledging that Cruise was the better racer, Pitt hinted at a possible on-screen reunion—but with conditions. Known for his daredevil stunts, Cruise might need to tone down the adrenaline for Pitt to consider joining him. “Well, I’m not gonna hang my ass off airplane shit like that,” Pitt commented humorously, indicating his preference for more grounded roles.

### Insights from the “F1” Filming Experience

Director Joseph Kosinski, who previously worked with Cruise in “Top Gun Maverick,” shared his perspective on casting choices for “F1.” Although Cruise is known for pushing limits, the role needed someone who embodied a different kind of intensity, which Pitt perfectly provided. Kosinski noted both actors have a natural talent for driving, but their styles would bring different energies to the film.

The film itself was first shown to an audience of real Formula One drivers in May, prior to the Monaco Grand Prix. Lando Norris, a racer who also appears in the movie, praised the film for its inspirational narrative and multifaceted storyline. Another driver, Oliver Bearman, was impressed by the realistic portrayal of the racing world in the movie, highlighting how it could attract more fans to the sport of Formula One.

### The Unique Preparations of a Star

Brad Pitt, discussing his role in “F1,” shared some of the quirky routines he follows to get into character. His method involves a series of specific actions: entering the car from the left side, putting on his left shoe first, followed by his left glove, and ensuring his belt is fastened left side first. These rituals, he explained, are part of his process to fully embody his character each day of shooting.

The movie “F1” is set to dazzle audiences in IMAX theaters starting June 25, with a wider release scheduled for June 27. The film promises to deliver high-speed action and dramatic storytelling, aiming to bring the thrilling world of Formula One closer to moviegoers globally.
