Fackler rises to new heights for Ekron
Ekron Elementary School recently completed its annual Read-A-Thon during which they read a lot to raise money for more reading materials. Their goal this year was $7,000, and principal Beth Fackler agreed to go up on the roof if they met their goal

MCFPD acquires fire safety equipment through FEMA
The Meade County Fire District has secured a variety of fire safety equipment through a FEMA grant that the district will provide to residents of our district free of charge. The fire safety equipment includes smoke detectors, reflective address signs and a limited number of class ABC fire extinguishers. A member of the Meade County Fire District shall install the fire safety equipment if requested. First priority for this equipment shall be for residents of the Meade County Fire District, with our second priority addressing requests outside our fire district but within Meade County.
