Recanvass confirms Election Day totals

A special called meeting of the Meade County Board of Elections was held Nov. 16 for the purpose of conducting a recanvass of votes in the races for Meade County sheriff and Meade County attorney.

PINS holds seventh annual wreath festival

The 7th Annual Pets in Need Society (PINS) Wreath Festival will be held at the Meade County Courthouse in Brandenburg from Sunday, Dec. 3 to Friday, Dec. 8, once again beautifully decorating the walls and halls of the courthouse during the holiday season.

Habitat for Humanity will dedicate eighth home in Meade County

On Nov. 26, just a few days after Thanksgiving, another Meade County family will have reason to give thanks. At 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Meade County Habitat for Humanity will dedicate the home of Twana Luney and her children.

Great American Smokeout celebrated at MCHS Nov. 16

Meade County High School took part in the Great American Smokeout Nov. 16.

During lunch, Senior Aaron Wright and Junior William Ballinger played the smoker’s roulette wheel trivia game to see what students know about smoking. The game also informs students of the physical dangers that result from smoking.
