BRIAN MINGUS

Brian Mingus, a teacher at Flaherty Elementary School, recently attended the 2007 annual conference of the Kentucky Association for Gifted Education (KAGE). The theme of the conference was Mining Untapped Potential: Gifted Education in Kentucky.

Local students make dean’s list at Centre College

Four Meade County High School graduates have been named to the dean’s list for the fall term at Centre College in Danville, an honor reserved for students who maintain at least a 3.60 grade point average.

Ish-Tarla Elaine Bradshaw, daughter of Michael and Alice Bradshaw, Guston, is graduating March 16 from Mid-America College of Funeral Service. Graduation service will be held March 16 at Walnut Street Baptist Church, Louisville.

The Centre College men’s and women’s golf teams traveled to the Orlando, Fla., area in late January. Caitlin Molnar and Sarah Fisher are freshmen members of the Centre College Women’s team. They are 2006 MCHS graduates.
