Garbage transition moves smoothly, new operator says

A new set of garbage trucks lumbered down Meade County roads March 31.

But the transition was problem-free between Waste Transport and Meade County, Waste Transport owner Wayne Smith said.

BRAC changes ongoing at Fort Knox as more soldiers attest

“For those that were skeptical as to whether or not BRAC was happening, they are wrong. It’s happening,” Garrison Commander Col. Mark Needham said.

As the garrison commander, Needham is responsible for base operations and strategic planning efforts at Fort Knox.

Riverport directs consultant to update proposed firm on plans

Riverport consultant Mike Flint was tasked with giving a proposed new, as yet unidentified firm expected to move into the Riverport area, anything they need to expedite their final decision.

County Judge Executive Harry Craycroft summed up the process by saying, “It’s like here is where we are at, where are you at?”
