Ladywave Wins in Extra Innings

The Meade County High school Ladywave softball team played their first district game on April 15 against the Hancock County High School Lady Hornets. Hancock has stung the Ladywave team for the last few years. Since 2016, the Lady Hornets have beat the Ladywave seven times — two of which were for the District 11 Championship —while the Ladywave has only beat them twice. Last season, the Ladywave ground out a tough win to regain the District 11 crown. So, coming into this game, Hancock had a chip on their shoulder and were looking for payback.
