Multiple Fatalities in Operation Against ISIS: Details Revealed

In a recent confrontation in Yalova, a city in western Turkey, a deadly shootout occurred between police forces and alleged members of the so-called Islamic State (IS). The clash led to the death of nine individuals, including three police officers.

According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, the incident also resulted in injuries to eight police officers and one security guard. He stated that the deceased suspects were all Turkish nationals.

The violence erupted during a nationwide crackdown on suspected terrorists. The suspects reportedly opened fire as security forces stormed a residence where they were hiding.
