Residents pause to honor nation’s 233rd birthday
From Fort Knox to Rough River State Resort Park and Corydon, Ind., residents will stop to honor the nation’s 233rd birthday this weekend.
Fireworks, historical re-enactments and pageantry will serve as a backdrop for the events.

Battletown Community Park held its annual Battletown Blowout June 27. Due to hot and humid temperatures, attendance was down.

Reliving the past will be possible at Threshing Days July 3-5
Participants can take a step back in time at the 17th Annual Threshing Days, July 3-5, but they’ll be doing so at a different location.
Due to the closure late last year of the Otter Creek Park near Muldraugh, members of the Lincoln Trail Antique Power of the Past, Inc., relocated their show to the Meade County Fairgrounds.
