Following intensified attacks by Ukraine on the Russian oil industry, fuel shortages are now palpable across most parts of Russia. Long lines are forming at gas stations, and in Crimea, fuel is no longer being sold to private individuals.

Putin also demanded stronger air defenses against Ukrainian drone strikes targeting the nation’s oil infrastructure. “The primary task is to quickly and significantly increase the production of the most urgently needed systems,” he stated during a Russian television interview.
